Epic 1, Part IV

An Uneventful End Game

I generated over 1500 beakers now, and discovered the last tech needed for the spaceship in 1879AD. The spaceship gets launched in 1892AD.

That had been a very fun game: Not too difficult, but very interesting! I don't know if Sirian had tinkered with the map or if the map script (made by Sirian ) had somehow sensed this had to be a good map for the start of a great tournament... The peninsula, the distribution of our adversaries on tne map, the selection of different personalities...perfect for an Epic 1, I think!

I guess other people will have had problems with Genghis as well, maybe even more so than I had because not everybody might have been able to convert him to the right religion. So I'm very curious to see how other people who have perhaps conquered some of his cities did in the end game: Will they have launched faster? Or will the war have slowed the down?

I'm also curious to see if others had the same amount of AI-AI wars happening as I did (I did not mention some of the wars in my report even!). This game had probably the right mixture of aggressive and peaceful personalities, but I'm a bit disappointed how two aggressive AIs ganging up on one peaceful AI do not manage to really hurt him, and how these wars throw back the aggressive AIs. Both Gandhi and Washington had been the target of some two-vs-one wars, and all that happened was that Washington lost two cities (didn't hurt him much in the end), and Gandhi actually managed to capture one Greek city (although that happened in the late game, when he had already a tech lead over Alex).

Thanks go to Sirian for sponsoring and advertizing this first Epic event, and to Griselda and King of Pain for managing all the Realms Beyond site's business! See you next Epic!
